Bermuda Printing Supplies began in 1983 as In-Plant Graphics Marketing, with Bruce and Wendy McIntosh, not long after the merger between Sidney Cooke and R. Collie & Company, which formed Collie Cooke. That was 22 years after Bruce had started with Sidney Cooke and 21 years for Wendy. Initially In-Plant Graphics Marketing catered exclusively to the In-Plant Printing market until, due to facility management teams, the market began its decline. As pressure was brought to bear on the company, due to falling sales, Bermuda Printing Supplies was born.

Now with some 27 years under their belts and looking for a retirement exit strategy, which included many discussions with existing printing supply houses, Bruce and Wendy sold their business to another husband and wife team, Tom and Tina Ralph of Graph-Pak Pty Ltd.

With a combined 85 years of experience between Tom and Bruce in the printing industry, Bermuda Printing Supplies, having now become a division of Graph-Pak Pty Ltd, is poised on the edge of an unprecedented expansion programme, which will see them not only represented in their home state of New South Wales, but spread their wings into Queensland, Victoria and South Australia.

Included in this expansion programme will be the inclusion of an engineering division, which will not only offer service contracts but also technical support in both mechanical and electronics. Naturally, Bermuda will be offering the total package, which will include Pre-Press, with their full range of Fuji products, including Proofing Papers and replacement Ink Cartridges. Press, with inks, pressroom chemistry, including their own range of FLUID products, which will be exclusively manufactured for Bermuda, by some of the industry’s leading pressroom chemical manufacturers, blankets, under-packings, rags, damper covers and offset spray powders. Finally, Post Press, with such items as Stitching Wire, Cloth Binding Tapes, Padding Compound, Laminating Films and Hand Cleaners. All this pretty well adds up to a one stop supply shop so to speak.

So, for those of you who already know and deal with both Bermuda and Graph-Pak, you will appreciate the level of personalised service which both these companies already offer. However, for those of you who have yet to be introduced to either of these companies, you will find a whole new level of personalised service. As both Tom and Bruce stated, the company is entering a whole new phase of product development and with it a level of personalised service which is rarely found in the industry today.
